With a complete disregard for genre convention, fusing together sounds from around the worlds of rock and pop New Zealand born, Australian raised singer Dansy is in fine creative form on latest release ‘Wish U Could’.
The track takes on an unusual form throughout, from its lingering and foreboding instrumentation to the emotionally-charged vocals, there is a unique sense of unease and intrigue throughout. There are theatrical elements to the sound at times that feel like a homage to artists like My Chemical Romance and the earlier work of Panic! At The Disco, as the track twists and turns from grueling guitar-led stomper to more dance-y beats, ‘Wish U Could’ is a beast of its own that will keep you guessing (and probably getting it wrong) throughout.
