Mysterious pop artist DISKQ follows previous outing ‘Lullaby’ with new single ‘Revenge’. The track is taken from the upcoming debut EP soft cruel.
Driven by understated production and skittish beats, the track is underpinned by an ominously throbbing bassline that juxtaposes DISKQ’s own minimal vocal style. Lightly weaving her way around the eerie synth refrains, the lyrics of ‘Revenge’ muse upon the dark side of a neglectful relationship.
“I wrote this album to describe how softness and cruelty can often occur in the same place, making them hard to distinguish,” shares DISKQ of her new EP. “The entire project is my exploration through this space, finding my own way of healing.
