Jesper, Ale and Jack are the indie pop trio Ives, an outfit from Sweden and Manchester that have spent the last few years establishing their melodic and engaging sound over a litany of singles. 2023 will see the outfit release their upcoming self-titled EP, and they have offered the first glimpse of the offering in the form of new single ‘Calling You Mine’.

The track explores the apathy and laziness of a couple that have found themselves in a doomed relationship that is faltering while neither bothers to address it or call it a day. The frustration of the narrative and thoughtful songwriting is met with a really engaging instrumental that builds from moments of laid-back calmness, to something altogether more urgent and impactful. The track has a really catchy and often relatable edge to it that is sure to resonate with some listeners, and does a great job of continuing to establish their sound and raise expectations for the bands upcoming release.
