Singer-songwriter James Deacon returns with new single ‘HERO aka. Rich’. The first track shared since the release of his debut EP The Calling, the new outing frankly explores the implications of sibling relationships.

Imbued with lush synth tones and bassy beats, ‘HERO aka. Rich’ delves into the alternately nurturing and bitter dynamic between brothers as they move through life. Delivered by Deacon’s soulfully dulcet tones, the song is at once confrontational and emotive.

“This song is a very important one for me,” shares Deacon of the origins of his latest single. “I wrote this song about my relationship with my brother that went from an inseparable bond and a decade worth of good times and life shaping events to an abrupt end in a fiery mess of emotions.”

‘HERO aka. Rich’ is available now via Bad Future Records.
