Undeniably love-drunk, rising talent Jordan Mackampa is back with the toe-tapping, hip shimmying new single ‘Magic’. The track is the latest to be shared from his forthcoming debut album Foreigner.
Infatuated with a mysterious other, the Congolese-British talent only reinforces his status as one to keep an eye on. Channelling similar vibes to that or Paolo Nutini or Aloe Blacc, ‘Magic’ embraces buoyant samba rhythms and light, bright guitar work that is instantly coercive and feel-good. It is impossible to remain a miser, and sit tight on your pew.
“This is a bossa nova/samba/ infused feel good kinda track about when you can’t get someone off your mind,” shares Mackampa of his inspiration on the track. “You’ve had one taste and you want more!”
