We all need to let out our emotions every now and again.
Coming alongside the announcement of his EP due out at the end of the month, Kyd The Band has released a collab with gnash entitled ‘Heartbreak Anthem’.
The collab is the result of a co-writing session that also resulted in track 7 on gnash’s debut album. Speaking on the track Guisande explains, “I love sad music. I’m just fascinated with how people respond to it, and I’m even more intrigued with how strongly heartbreak unites people together in a live concert setting. There’s something about being with thousands of other people singing a song together about your shared pain that’s pretty cathartic.”
Pushing sonic boundaries to create something unique and personal, ‘Heartbreak Anthem’ is just that – a heartbreak anthem. Scream it at the top of your lungs and then have a good cry. You’ll feel better.
Elaborating on the track gnash adds, “’Heartbreak anthem’ is a song about a song you don’t want to hear anymore about someone you no longer want to think about… Ironically based on my past releases, this is a protest song about society’s obsession with breakup anthems, which is why I love it so much.”
