Online sensation mimi bay treats her fans with not one, but three tracks to whet their appetite. Following this year’s earlier release ‘really’, her new mixtape collection daydreams is comprised of ‘wyd’, 2am apollo’ and the titular track ‘daydream’.
Starting out life on YouTube like many a Gen-Z wunderkind, bay has been cultivating an online body of work since the tender age of 14, writing and recording in her bedroom before sharing her music with the world. Now still only 18, the Swedish sensation – real name Mimi Bergman – has emerged with a disarmingly tender and delicate sound with the lead track ‘daydream’. Accompanied by a stunning video (fittingly set in a bedroom) the track is a stunning introduction to her world.
“I’ve wanted to share these songs since they were first demos but they never really had context,” shares bay of the release. “So to finally share them with whoever wants to listen makes me happy.”
