UK alternative hip-hop outfit Monster Florence are well established at this point as a unique and dynamic source of engaging and often endlessly memorable track that ripple with a sense of diverse cutting edge and boundless creativity and guile. The latest release from the outfit is their first since the deluxe edition of their acclaimed EP Cowboys and Idiots back in 2020, and comes in the form of the new single ‘Relax’.
The track sees the outfit continue to bring their signature brand of anarchy and chaos to the fore, with unfiltered bars that pull no punches for anybody, not even disgraced sweat-resistant royal Prince Andrew. Speaking about the new offering, they said, “the track came to be out of a typically sporadic piece of inspirational genius from John who, during an innocent conversation with us uttered the hallowed words… Relax, nothing is under control. It seemed playful yet so powerful, at which point we immediately knew we had something special, and we set about fusing his one liner into a track we were producing.”
