Dutch trio Paceshifters return with the urgent and emotive rock of new single ‘Hurdles’. The track is taken from the new forthcoming album and marked a decided change of tack.

“We made quite a few changes”, explains vocalist and guitarist Seb. “New management, new record label, new booking agency but also played a bit with our image and definitely revamped our sound. Everything is different now, except the name of the band and it’s still the same three guys making a lot of noise.”

And ‘Hurdles’ a good place to start. Capturing the same kind of emotive and affable tone as iconic stadium-fillers Foo Fighters, this new outing slowly builds to an urgent crescendo of a chorus, all anthemic vocal hooks and drums pounding. Lulling guitar work creates a musing, introspective tone, but whilst ‘Hurdles’ invites listeners to reflect, it loses none of its impact.

‘Hurdles’ is available now.
