Her single ‘stfu’ shows why; her murky guitar tone and introspective lyrics clearly exist in the same realm as the aforementioned, however her affable and distinctive vocal is what sets her apart from her emo-meets-hip-hop contemporaries.
Underpinned by skittish beats and a 90s tone, the track sees phem reflect and ultimately dismiss all outside perspectives on how she should live her life.
