Albert Gold releases single and video ‘Want Me’ from forthcoming EP
Albert Gold returns with the soul-pop wonder ‘Want Me‘, taken from his forthcoming EP ‘Patterns’.
Continuing his signature sound of complicated emotional themes, the leading single ‘Want Me’ fits perfectly on the heartwrenching upcoming EP.
Described as ‘the most heartbroken man in the whole of Hackney’, the LGBTQ+ icon is certainly an artist that deserves a pedestal to share his music.
Explaining his thoughts on the release, Albert shares, “Want me- was a song that helped me cope over the covid period and just the dry spell I had with songwriting, I was so confused about what to say as an artist. How open I wanted to be as a black gay man and learning to forgive.
Also dealing with relationships and dating and how confusing infatuation is!
Writing this song helped me put down all my thoughts, It was like me putting a middle finger up to everything negative and a big reminder to not lose the foundations of who I really am.”
