Don’t be ‘The Fool’ and skip Annie Taylor’s latest release – it’s a real treat
Following in the successful footsteps of debut album ‘Sweet Mortaility’, ‘The Fool’ is the sensational new release from Switzerland alt rockers Annie Taylor, out worldwide tomorrow.
Kicking 2021 off in a golden way, the uplifting new release is filled with attitude and an addictive rhythm.
Driven by effortless vocals and a laidback, lo-fi approach to the instrumentation, the fuzzy guitar throughout the release is prominent and in your face.
On their new release, vocalist Gini added, “For me, ‘The Fool’is definitely the most meaningful song on the record. I wrote it withgreat heartbreak and remember even shedding a few tears when I first played it on myguitar.
It’s about longing for someone’s love and how you catch yourself always spinningaimlessly incircles, making a ‘fool’ of yourself. ‘Unspoken’ has a similar background to’The Fool’, however, it is ultimately more about accepting existing facts and letting go.”
Walking side by side with second single ‘Unspoken’, which is also out tomorrow, both new contenders are strong and feel like a new chapter for Annie Taylor.
A collective we’ll be keeping in our ears for a while, Annie Taylor’s return is unlike any other.
