Hertfordshire based up and coming UK indie-pop artist Ed Staal is back with his new single ‘Baby Blue’
Having signed with Syndicate Management, the 24 year old shares the new single as a first look at his upcoming EP Battle Scars & Broken Hearts.
Self-recorded and produced, Ed’s style fuses elements of soul, pop and indie in a unique, multi-faceted sound.
‘Baby Blue’ is a great example of this, capturing a warming vintage feel over its bouncing beat, funk tinted bass line and ultra catchy vocal lines.
Ed’s silky, note-perfect and effortlessly charismatic vocal delivery takes centre stage as guitar lines and organs dance around the soundscape.
Talking about the single Ed adds: “The track is about looking back on a past relationship with hindsight and seeing how immature myself and the actual relationship became.
Touching on how meeting new people has felt meaningless since the end of us.”
