Nashville based artist Grayson Foster explores the uncertainty of the future in indie-folk hook ‘Cash Money Honey’
Crafting his signature sound with memorable sonic hooks and a distinctive indie-folk meets rock fashion, Grayson Foster sparks emotions in the new release ‘Cash Money Honey‘.
Using soothing guitar tones with an energetic pop arrangement to convey the track’s message, Grayson started his solo career in Nashville in 2019.
Returning with lively folk number ‘Cash Money Honey’, the track encapsulates the idea of living in the moment and forgetting about future worries.
Speaking about the inspiration of the track, Grayson shares, “When I was writing “Cash Money Honey” I had a pretty clear visual idea for a gritty parallel world the song and message could live in.
My best friend since childhood, Will Branner, is a filmmaker and loved the idea so he worked on a script and the video was born. Actors Caleb Foote, Jerusha Cavazos, and Michael Vega we’re perfect for their respective roles and Blake Zelesnikar, who directed and danced in my previous video release, crushed the cinematography.
I previously had worked with most of the crew so the shoot felt like a week with friends at the beach and I’m thrilled with the result. I enjoy a bit of levity as much as I enjoy science fiction movies, so happy cannibals entwined in apocalyptic love seemed perfect for “Cash Money Honey”.
Accompanied by a heated video set in the desert, the western-inspired visuals come across as humourous and like a scene in a Quentin Tarantino movie.
