Danish pop songstress Rebecca Lou releases powerful new single ‘Lovesick’
Released worldwide today, Rebecca Lou’s sensational new single ‘Lovesick‘ will leave you weak at the knees.
Taken from her forthcoming album ‘Heavy Metal Feelings’, the new single goes down a more commercial pop avenue in comparison to previous releases.
Pop-rock at its finest, this sensational songwriter could give P!nk a run for her money.
Telling us her views on the single, Rebecca Lou states, “The inspiration for ‘Lovesick’ came after I met my friend’s tarantula Jenny. I thought she was so adorable and creepy cute, that I started daydreaming about her becoming a real human being and how we would fall in love and the whole world would turn into a big thunderstorm of pure romance.
That’s why the chorus goes “Jenny come alive, all your colours make me high”. It was a very weird and funny way to kick-start the track thematically, and I ended up sticking with it, because I thought it was funny.”
Driven with an optimistic sound, this fierce number gives insight into an adventurous album and career ahead for Rebecca Lou.
Armed with an ear-worm chorus that won’t be making its way out of your head anytime soon, ‘Lovesick’ is a distinctive number best served at a loud volume.
