Liverpool quartet Seprona unleash hypnotic new single ‘Phone Me Back’

Things are looking up. The rollout of vaccines are going well, the pubs have reopened and your new favourite indie-pop outfit Seprona are back with an addictive new single called ‘Phone Me Back’.

The passionate quintet you need in your life, Seprona’s new single is youthful yet has a mature head on its shoulders. Detailing a foolish story that we’ve all encountered at some stage in our lives, lead vocalist Daniel adds, “I felt like this song was one of the most relatable I have ever written, I think everyone has at some point had that crushing feeling when they’re sat at home thinking about something stupid they did over the weekend.

The opening line that says ‘I hear the silence talk more lately’ was the first thing that came to me when I was writing it and that kind of set the tone of the song really. It just sort of came from nowhere and it was like ok so this is what the song is about.  I remember being stood outside a Bombay Bicycle Club gig years ago and seeing this couple arguing and it just really stuck with me.

The song came from that specific situation but is more generally about being on a night out with someone you like and ending up arguing, then regretting it almost straight away. Being stuck outside and trying to get in touch with them to apologise, but them not answering. There are so many different feelings along with that situation that we have all experienced and I would like to think the song is a glimpse into that place.”

Soulfulsassy and special, Seprona’s latest anthem gives a glimpse into, what looks like, their best year to date.

Already receiving support from BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, Radio X, ITV’s This Morning and Amazing Radio, Seprona are melodically wonderful.

Accompanied by a behind the scenes style music video, the visuals see the band record the track in a state of the art studio. Doing this gives fans an insight into the, sometimes, challenging recording process.

One of those tracks that seemed to have written itself, ‘Phone Me Back’ is an exceptional return.
