Cornwall based rock outfit The Velvet Hands return with the explosive new music video for single ‘Star’
Known as one of the finest collectives to emerge from Cornwall, The Velvet Hands will easily become your new favourite indie outfit.
After their sensational return with new single ‘Star‘ at the beginning of the month, The Velvet Hands are back with the vibrant visuals to go with it.
Musically, the track is fuelled with attitude and angst. Not standing to be limited to one specific sound, ‘Star’ is prominently an indie-rock anthem with elements of garage-punk thrown in for extra sass.
Adding their views on the track’s message, The Velvet Hands share, “Star’ was inspired by someone I met who went on celebs go dating with a genuine intention to find love, only to find herself aghast when the producers started asking her to cause drama.
Love was not found but ‘Star’ was. It’s a big two fingers up at reality culture and the selling of ones dignity for fame.”
Visually, the video showcases the band performing the track live at a venue. Coated with monotone colours, the captivating vision also features specific wordings that take over the screen.
Be a ‘Star’ and grab hold of this release – it’s instantly The Velvet Hands’ best release to date.
