Key West Roots-Rocker Tony Baltimore Goes Acoustic Folk On New Single ‘Fly Alone’

Conch Ton Records Signed roots-rocker Tony Baltimore returns with the delicate, folk infused new single ‘Fly Alone’ and we’re excited to have the premiere!

Taken from the upcoming album ‘Let’s All Go Insane’, ‘Fly Alone’ see’s Baltimore demonstrate an emotional, heartfelt side to his songwriter. A stark contrast to the upbeat, tongue-in-cheek nature of his previous releases from the album, the track demonstrates Baltimore’s diversity offering a look at the range of sounds which will be present across the upcoming release.

Opening with a delicate finger-picked acoustic guitar surrounded by violin, Tony’s honest lyricism and effortless vocal delivery takes centre stage. Building towards an optimistic chorus that at once gives the track a lift and introduces a hook, the track introduces harmonies from guest vocalist Marjory Lee, adding a bright dreaminess to the chorus, allowing the chorus to truly shine.

Speaking about the meaning behind ‘Fly Alone’ Tony explains: “Fly Alone was written at the end of April 2020 when the pandemic really started to affect people in a noticeable way. The look of desperation & depression on people’s faces, whether it be via FaceTime, Skype or the television was highly visible and proved that a lot of people were not doing well. These factors along with a personal story of a good friend combined to be what is now Fly Alone.”

Raw and simplistic yet effortlessly likeable the track doesn’t need huge production to shine, instead, relying on tight songwriting and well-placed arrangements to make its mark.
