Dream-pop at its finest from Tel Aviv’s exciting new artist

Taken straight from her debut album Calm The Beast, Roni Bar Hadas has dropped ‘You’re Gonna Tell Me’, the second single.

For fans of dream-pop, you’re in luck here, as the production is all kinds of dreamy with a hint of nostalgia thrown in for good measure.

Lyrically, the track explored the fear that many have with regards to being alone. It also exposes the conflict between remaining in a known, comfortable places and the urge to go out and explore. Something many of us will be feeling now in the midst of the Coronavirus situation.

The Tel Aviv-based musician showcases their strong, but dreamy vocals on the track, with previous experience in a multitude of bands, plus time as a classical singer, she’s now going solo in her own direction with the release of this full-length LP.

Taking inspiration from artists such as Elliott Smith, Fiona Apple and Beck, it’s clear how her musical style has formed. With elements of folk and rock mixed in.
