Breakup songs live and die on their ability to make you resonate with the story being told and the emotion being displayed. Thankfully for Soapbox Sound, on the cathartic new single ‘Luna’, the audience is pulled into a world of thoughtful introspection and regret.
The track starts off ordinarily enough, before diving into a huge change of pace that feels like a shock the system. With the track transforming from something that wouldn’t feel out of place on a Tarantino-styled western to to full on vulnerable, intimate heartbreak. There is such an authenticity and passion to the sound that it is tough to not feel immersed within its raw emotion. A stellar track that does more than enough to keep an age old subject feeling alive and strike up real emotion from the listener.
