US pop punk outfit Swiss Army Wife have established themselves as a brash and unpredictable force who boast a sound that feels both irresistibly catchy and inescapably fun.
The latest single from the Oregon band is ‘This # Is No Longer In Service’, a frenetic 90 seconds of fun melodies and unbridled energy. The track definitely takes inspiration from pop punk standouts of the last decade or so like PUP and Joyce Manor but has enough distinctive energy and heart to give the outfit a life of their own within their sound, and sets Swiss Army Wife aside as a valuable modern addition to the scene. The outfit’s latest 8-track release Medium Gnarly only seems to confirm that.
