The artist continues to establish her killer sound on her third release.

On her third single ‘Too Close’ emerging New York singer-songwriter Sydney Gordon continues to show off her impossibly cool sound and the engaging, distinctive charisma and energy that she possesses.

The track is gripping from the offset, with its off-kilter, trap-infused beats and Sydney’s commanding vocals. There is a devastating cutting edge to this sound, laced with a sense of composure and poise that bodes well for the emerging artist. Sydney Gordon is a rising star that boasts a sound that has all of the hallmarks of a potential breakout star, the melodies, the lyrics are relatable and cutting, and there is an ice cold sense of charisma and swagger that leaves a lasting, memorable impression. I would be surprised if her name isn’t one that we hear a lot more of going forward.

“’Too Close’ is about almost falling for someone but not letting your guard down in order to protect yourself.” Sydney details of the track. “I think that almost everyone has experienced this feeling- you want to give in and take the risk of trust, but you’re scared of getting hurt. For this record, I decided I would paint a picture for my listeners based on a previous experience of mine. In this track, I’m admitting to this boy that I want to get close to him, but I push him away in fear of being let down like I have in the past by others. It takes a lot for me to break down my walls and let someone get close to me. I think this record describes this part of me perfectly which is why I love it so much.”
