The Deep Blue are at their impassioned and uncompromising best on latest release ‘He Said She Said’. Despite the angelic and endearingly melodic and light nature of their sound, they still know how to pack a punch with their impactful subject manner and make a stand with their music.

The track is a call to arms, a message of solidarity, to stand up alongside victims of sexual and domestic abuse. The allure of their sound lies in their captivating and irresistible harmonies, providing a disarming backdrop for their minimalist sound that packs such a worthwhile and sobering message. ‘He Said She Said’ is an unfortunately all too necessary anthem from the outfit that showcases the power and impact that even the most gentle of sounds can possess.

“He Said She Said was written in response to section 72 of The Domestic Abuse Act of 2021.”  The Deep Blue say of the track. “Inspired by stories in the news and some of our own experiences, we offer this song as a voice for the countless women who have been harmed by or lost their lives to domestic or sexual violence. It’s a topic full of sadness but we wanted to wrap it in an upbeat sound and swap the sadness for strength. We’re not here to make you cry, we’re here to light a little fire in you.”
