Scottish punk four-piece The Vanities reuturn with the bratty noise of ‘Reality TV’. The track follows this year’s earlier release ‘OTC’.

Taking a generous swipe at the track’s namesake, ‘Reality TV’ is a rattle-stop observation of the present day vacuousity. Driven by energetic clattering drums and a chunky bassline the band succeed in channelling their myriad of influences – think Rancid, Beastie Boys and Green Day – whilst still sounding like a breath of fresh air.

Earmarking Mura Masa and slowthai’s collaboration ‘Deal With It’ as the defiant vibe they wanted to emulate, it will be exciting to see where the band aim next.

‘Reality TV’ is available now.
