Meet Vanela, although ‘World Away’ is her official debut solo single, she’s already got a fair amount of musical success under her belt.
Having recently been commissioned to record one of her co-writes in Simlish for Sims 4, not to mention hitting 1 million plays on her self-penned RAM Records feture ‘Stand High’ – it’s fair to say that Vanela’s been doing pretty well in the musical world.
‘World Away’ is a classic pop hit, with a unique edge to it thanks to Vanela’s impeccable vocals. Putting an upbeat spin on an otherwise not-so-peppy track (lyrically), it’s a track that’s sure to get your toes a-tapping.
Vanela worked with LA-based producer Zaro Vega on this one, who was able to take inspiration from the likes of Kanye West’s 808s & Heartbreak and Lorde’s ‘Royals’ to help craft the finished version that we hear today.
2020 is set to be a big year for Vanela, so keep your eyes and ears peeled.
