Listen to Big Thief demo album in support of their touring crew

The tracks were recorded during sessions for UFOF and Two Hands

The prolific Big Thief’s latest release ‘Demos Vol. 1 – Topanga Canyon, CA – Feb 2018’ is now available to buy in aid of their touring crew who cannot work during the pandemic.

During the sessions for both of last year’s albums UFOF and Two Hands the band spent February 2018 writing “in a cabin in Topanga Canyon, California, recording 34 demos”.

The band chose 5 of their favorites, including unreleased tracks and two which appear on lead singer Adrianne Lenker’s 2018 debut album abysskiss.

“100% of the funds we receive from this release will go to our faithful road crew, whose income has been impacted by the disruption in our touring schedule. They are the lifeblood of the Big Thief shows and we care so deeply for each and every one of them.”

Adrianne Lenker also recently recorded a beautiful cover of the late John Prine’s ‘Summer’s End’ during his time in hospital.
