Block by Blockwest will take place on Saturday in aid of CDC disease prevention charity
In aid of Combat Coronavirus campaign CDC Foundation, Minecraft have announced the genius/terribly named Block By Blockwest festival.
Taking place next Saturday (April 25), the festival takes place inside popular video game Minecraft.
The list of artists playing in this virutal setting also include Citizen, Nothing, Nowhere, Fever 333, HEALTH, Wicca Phase Springs Eternal and more. Find the full lineup and more information here.
Livestreams and virtual festivals have been on the rise for a few years now, but artists are using this approach more during isolation to raise money for the fight against Coronavirus and keep in contact with their fans.
This weekend will also see 100 gecs’ Square Garden festival on Minecraft taking place on on April 24, featuring Charli XCX and Cashmere Cat.
