The pair performed the cover for Newport Folk Festival
Tobias Pugh3rd August 20200 Phoebe Bridgers and Courtney Barnett have teamed up for a cover of Gillian Welch’s ‘Everything Is Free’ for Newport Folk Festival’s online virtual event yesterday.
Bridgers has previously covered the song with fellow boygenius bandmate Julien Baker (watch here) where she called the song her “favourite song about music streaming”, and Barnett also covered it on Jimmy Fallon (watch here).
