The Margate residency will be available from 25th September
Iconic indie band The Libertines have announce the opening date of their Margate hotel Albion Rooms. The band have been working on the project since 2016 and are set to fling open the doors on 25th September.
Fans are invited to stay in seven rooms which have all been individually curated by the band. Accommodation starts from £114 per night and the band’s lyrics are featured throughout the premises. The hotel will also serve The Libertines’ house blend of coffee courtesy of Arcady Coffee House and will be home to a luxury restaurant overseen by Gordon Ramsey’s former head chef, Joe Hill.
“It might be a while before we challenge The Savoy or The Grand Budapest in the hotel stakes, but we’ve put a lot of love into this,” shares Carl Barat. “Meanwhile it’s a colourful and inspiring home for the Libertines and I look forward to the Albion Rooms being our very own Warholian Factory.”
The hotel has already announced live music and comedy for the coming months – see what they have on offer and view the rooms on the new website.
