How long have you been making music?
We had our first writing session together about 3 years ago, but have all been making music individually for a long time. We actually met when on the same gig doing our solo projects, and instantly hit a vibe and decided to try writing together.
Why do you make music?
We’re fans of music firstly, and music is such a big part of life sometimes people don’t realise it, but we’re consuming it and getting inspired constantly. Aside from using it to express ourselves, we also just love honing in on a feeling, curating a vibe for where our music will exist.
What are your biggest influences?
Bella: SZA, Jacob Collier, Tom Misch, Frank Ocean, Eloise,
Cam: Rob Arajo, Robert Glasper, Kaytranada, Disclosure.
APW: One of my biggest influences is Stevie Wonder, maxwell, Kate Bush, Bon Iver – an eclectic mix.

What would you say has been your best moment so far?
I’d say whenever we are writing and rehearsing and getting to explore the music is our favourite. We’re also getting lots of love on the build up to the release with some exciting support coming in from industry pros which always makes you feel great.
How would you describe your sound to somebody unfamiliar with it?
Jazz inspired pop with an organic house foundation.
What’s your dream “I’ve made it” moment?
We’d love to go on tour and curate the GOMME vibe in each city we select.
We love your new single ‘Debut’, what more can you tell us about it?
We had our first writing session nearly 3 years ago, and we hadn’t really decided what this was or if it was anything really! When we got in the room together, we decided we wanted to write something that wasn’t a sad love song (for once!) and explored trying to create quite a vivid depiction of being in a club, feeling sexy, spotting someone across the dance floor, that kind of vibe. Basically, a hook up song. In about 3 hours we had Debut in its baby form, but other than tightening up from the demo version, it hasn’t actually changed much since that first writing session!
What else do you have planned for the near future?
Our debut EP Evenings & Weekends is releasing on 8th July! We have a couple more singles releasing in the lead up to the EP, and a very exciting show we can’t wait to announce
And finally, who is your biggest fan right now?
Our mums.
