Created through online ‘briefs’, Syncr Music, five musicians and a charity have released a very special fundraising song.
During the Coronavirus pandemic, normal means of collaboration was impossible. However, that does’nt mean that artists and organisations from across the globe can’t get work on something special together.
Music opportunities platform Syncr Music teamed up with international charity Musicians Without Borders to create three ‘briefs’. Hosted by Syncr, these consisted first of a search for an “exciting and inspiring” instrumental, then, once Syncr users submitted their tracks, the charity picked Robby Stone’s from a shortlist.
This then led to another search – for a chorus on top of the instrumental, which Yassi V more than provided, giving the song its name too ‘Sing It With Me’.
Finally, a verse brief, which artists Sola, Auggie Verlade and Bed Time perfected, spreading the charity’s message of “war divides, music connects.”
To mix and master the track, Syncr enlisted award winning producer and engineer Marcellus Fernandes and Kycker (who waived their fees for the track) to distribute the track.
Syncr have also asked for listeners to also donate here, saying “your kindness will help heal lives with music”.
