London based artist ROYAL returns with yet another string to his ever-growing bow. Titled ‘Precious‘, that’s one word to describe the latest release.
Released just over a week ago, the single is certainly making waves within the hip-hop world.
Back with the mesmerising visuals for the release, ROYAL clearly states that his talent is endless and there are no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Bathed in soulful sensibilities and a stunning lo-fi hip-hop beat, it’s ROYAL’s gorgeous vocal tone that steals the show.
Weaving through singing and rapping, musically, the track will grip you from the get-go.
Visually, the music video shows a relationship that has gone sour, and showcases boredom and feeling ‘settled’.
Created by 49 to Midnight Films, the visuals feature ROYAL contemplating his relationship’s fate.
Adding to the track’s inspiration, ROYAL tells us, “You’re too Precious to be here, that’s what daddy told you…” – Highlights how a relationship can become tainted because of the pessimistic gaze of others. This is something I am all too familiar with and wanted to put it in a track”.
