Building a prolific back catalogue since the release of her 2018 debut EP Overthinking, SHY Martin makes a welcome return with new single ‘Slow’. Garnering a massive 120 million streams with her 2019 singles ‘Forget To Forget’, ‘Good Together’ and ‘Just A Little Longer’ – as well as racking up a bunch of songwriting credits for Bebe Rexha, ALMA, Ellie Goulding, Jess Glynne and more – the young Swedish artist is fast turning into one to keep an eye on.

Breaking away from the catchy pop soundscape that made her name, new single ‘Slow’ sees Martin pare back her sound and show her more vulnerable side. “My heart is struggling not to get hurt again,” states Martin in the chorus, explicitly confirming her wariness and insecurity for listeners to share.

Not too far away from Billie Eilish’s softer work, ‘Slow’ meanders with soft guitar plucking and emotively restrained vocals. It’s a new side to SHY Martin that we hope to see more of.

‘Slow’ is available now via BLNK Music.
