It’s been a long time coming, but fun-time troupe Haiku Hands have finally released their self-titled debut album!

Released on Because Music (UK) and Mad Decent (US), the Australian band recorded the collection in Melbourne with Joel Ma (Joelistics). They also found time to collaborate with a variety of talent including Sofi Tukker, Mad Zach, Machine Drum, Mirac, Elgusto of Hermitude and Lewis CanCut.

Marking the occasion with the release of new single ‘Sunride’, the track explores, conflict, forgiveness and communication via their signature dance-pop sound and a whole lotta bass! “This song carries a message of hope,” share the band. “We imagine ourselves on a cloud, riding through a blue sky when we listen to this song.

“This album is an opus of discovery,” Haiku Hands continue. “It maps the finding of our sound, our voices and what we wanted to say. These songs chart some of the very first sessions we ever did where we spent most of the time rolling around on the floor laughing, to the latest sessions where we were so tired and alive from touring and had a more developed sense of what we’re about.”

Haiku Hands’ self-titled debut album is available now via Because Music in the UK and Mad Decent in the US.
