The singer speaks on his upcoming debut album and anxiety
Dominic Fike has released a new 6 minute video in which Brockhampton’s Kevin Abstract interviews him poolside about fear, new music and jail.
Fike also spoke about writing music in jail, which included using the sound of a sink to work out scales and create songs.
He recently spoke on the call to defund the police in light of the Black Lives Matter movement saying; “My life has felt cursed since I was a little kid. I’ve watched police, the supposed good guys, beat my mom and take her away. I’ve had my brothers taken away. Aunts. Uncles. Shit, my dad just got 20. It’s like they had a problem with my family. I’ve since realized the real curse is the system we live in is designed for us to lose, again and again.”
