The track is the third single from the artist’s upcoming new album Come As You Are
May 31st can’t come soon enough, with critically acclaimed and celebrated Irish artist Niamh Regan set to release her highly-awaited sophomore album Come As You Are, a release with mountains of potential thanks to the artist’s previous work and what we have heard from it so far.
The latest glimpse into the album comes in the form of the artist’s stirring new single ‘Nice’, a track that is anchored by a great bassline that perfectly sets the tone and blends seamlessly with her immersive style. Thematically, the track explores the need to get out of your own way, acknowledging that she is often the person that is blocking her path for things that she wants in life. Her distinctive folk indie-folk sound lends perfectly to these moments of vulnerability and introspection in her own engrossing and intimate way, and the track’s stripped-back feel just adds to the rawness and resonating tone of the message.
Of the song, Niamh says “Nice is song inspired by the idea the only person getting in your way is yourself (most of the time anyway). I really enjoyed how this song came to life in the studio with Tommy McLaughlin in Attica Studios. The bass line gave it so much life and it’s now one of my favourite songs to perform live now.”
